The police have booked three youths for allegedly kidnapping and gangraping a 17-year-old girl in Buria town of Yamunanagar district.

On the complaint of the victim, a case was registered against Goldi of Basatiyaan village, Saurabh and Mathiya, both residents of Buria town, under Sections 365 (kidnapping) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC and 6 of the POCSO Act at the woman’s police station, Yamunanagar, yesterday.

The complainant, a resident of an area falling under the Buria police station, said when the accused came at her house at night on July 14. “They made me inhale some intoxicants and when I fell unconscious, they kidnapped me. They took me to an isolated place in Buria town and raped me,” alleged the victim.

She said she somehow managed to run away and reached her house around 3 am. “I told my parents about the incident on July 15 after which we lodged a police complaint,” said the complainant.
