Kaithal: Seven couples from underprivileged families tied the nuptial knot at a mass wedding function organised by Sewa Sangh, a local social organisation, here on Sunday. A total of 238 girls have been married off in 13 mass wedding functions held by the organisation so far. Local industrialist Amarnath Bhagat and sangh president MS Shah blessed the newly weds and wished them a happy married life. On the occasion, Sewa Sangh founder Shiv Shanker Pahwa threw light on the activities of the organisation in the last 39 years and urged the couples to take the extra eighth ‘phera’ dedicated to the girl child.
