The Bharatiya Kisan Sangh has expressed concern over the contamination of sub-soil water due to the disposal of untreated water by industrial units of Rai, Kundli, Bari and Liwaspur into fields.

At a meeting of the district unit of the sangh in Gauridham Murthal on Wednesday, district president Chand Arya alleged that most of the units are without treatment plants and that no action had been taken against their owners so far. Members of the sangh decided to hand over a memorandum to Sonepat DC Shaleen on May 27. — TNS
