Panipat, March 20
A coach of the Himalayan Queen derailed near the Bhodwal Majri railway station on the Delhi-Ambala route on Wednesday morning. The train was on its way from Delhi to Kalka. Railway officials reached the spot. However, no injuries or casualty has been reported.
The Additional Divisional Railway Manager (ADRM) of the Delhi division visited the spot and ordered an inquiry. Around 12 trains, including Shatabdi Express, are running late, while four passenger trains have been cancelled. The incident took place at 7.5 am when the train was crossing the Bhodwal Majri railway station. Samunder Singh, railway guard on duty, immediately informed Santosh Kumar, train pilot, about the derailment of the coach. A portion of the track has been damaged. — TNS
