A man has been arrested here for allegedly impersonating a police inspector and threatening a local, an official said on Saturday.

Satish said he had given money to the victim, which he was refusing to return. Therefore, Satish posed as a police inspector and threatened the man so that he returned the money, a police official said.

Satish was arrested from his house on Friday, the official said.

“We are verifying his claims and an interrogation is under way,” the official added. PTI
