The CM’s flying squad has detained two vehicles loaded with bajra from Siwani grain market on the complaint that the grains were smuggled from Rajasthan for procurement. The matter is being probed.

Sources said the flying squad seized two tempos in Siwani town on a tip-off. Officials interrogated the farmer who claimed that the produce was harvested by him from his field. Vivek Panghal, secretary, market committee, said he was unaware of any complaint about bajra smuggling.

He, meanwhile, said the produce of only those farmers would be procured who had registered themselves on the Meri Fasal, Mera Byora (e-Kharid) portal. — TNS
