New medical college for Gurugram

CHANDIGARH: The state government has decided to establish Shree Sheetla Mata Devi Medical College over 39 acres in Kherki Majra village, Sector 102, Gurugram.

The state government has decided to establish Shree Sheetla Mata Devi Medical College over 39 acres in Kherki Majra village, Sector 102, Gurugram. The Town and Country Planning Department will be the nodal department for the purpose.

An official spokesman said Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had approved a proposal in this regard. The medical college would be established by the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority (GMDA) in association with the Municipal Corporation Gurugram (MCG) and the Shree Sheetla Mata Devi Shrine Board.

He said while the project funding by the board would be 5 per cent, the remaining amount would be given by GMDA and MCG in the ratio of 50:45. — TNS
