Gurugram, August 13

A massive jam was witnessed in Gurugram on Monday morning, with hundreds of HDV vehicles thronging the Sirhaul border stalling the movement of other vehicles.

The Delhi government has, in view of the forthcoming Independence Day celebrations, banned the entry of the heavy vehicles in the city owing to which hundreds of these vehicles were parked on the Delhi-Gurugram border near the Ambience mall.

Parking of vehicles threw Monday traffic out of gear, with bottlenecks originating from borders soon spreading to the entire expressway. Office-goers were stuck in serpentine queues for around an hour even as Gurugram police struggled to keep things going.

Irate commuters took to social media to vent their anger and blamed the Delhi Police for the chaos. — TNS
