Korean ‘molested’ near G’gram; 4 held

A 32-year-old Korean executive was allegedly molested and her male friend allegedly assaulted by five men when they stopped near Manesar highway to click a few pictures today.

The police nabbed four persons identified as Sandeep, Vinod, Jitender alias Kala and Rakesh in connection with the incident. They were booked under Sections 354-A (sexual assault), 323 (causing hurt), 506 (criminal intimidation), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the IPC.

The accused have been sent to judicial custody.

The police said incident took place around 4.40 pm when the Korean executive and her friend were returning from Jaipur (Rajasthan) to Gurugram. They stopped at a ‘dhaba’ on the Manesar highway. Nearby, they spotted was a flag of Indian Oil fluttering very high in the air.

As they were clicking pictures with it, a group of five persons came there and allegedly started misbehaving with them.

They allegedly grabbed her hand. She and her friend managed to rush back to the car and called the police.

On reaching Gurugram, they filed a police complaint.
