His family received the shocking news thorough some source in that country. The bereaved family members, who have no information through official channels, are making efforts to know the facts and have contacted the Malaysian Embassy in New Delhi.

According to information, another youth, who also was killed, belonged to Punjab but no further details about him are available. Vikas’s family members said he worked in a factory in Malaysia and Gurmeet, a resident of Punjab, Vikram, a resident of Barta village in Kaithal, and a Nepalese were his colleagues. On December 2 night, Vikas and Gurmeet arrived at the factory gate for duty when unidentified youths attacked them with sharp-edged weapons. Both reportedly died on the spot.
