K’shetra stadium sans gymnasium

Kurukshetra: The regional centre of the Sports Authority of India (SAI) at Dronacharya Stadium here is the hub for training in hockey, volleyball, athletics, cycling and judo. A senior player said there was an immediate need of an indoor gymnasium as the practice session was hampered during rain. “We need a synthetic track and the clay track deprives us of training on a par with the international standards,” said an athlete. — Vishal Joshi
