Hisar, February 6

In a setback to the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), its MLA from Narwana Pirthi Nambardar today owed allegiance to the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) led by Hisar MP Dushyant Chautala.

Nambardar announced the decision at a JJP workers’ meeting in the presence of Dushyant. “The INLD has hit the nadir. The JJP has been taking along all sections of society and offers hope to people of the state,” he said while addressing the workers.

A JJP spokesperson said Nambardar was the fourth INLD MLA to have joined hands with newly formed outfit. Earlier, Uklana (reserved) MLA Anoop Dhanak, Dadri MLA Rajdeep Phogat and Dabwali MLA Naina Chautala had shifted loyalties. None of the MLAs has quit the INLD.

Dushyant, while welcoming the Narwana MLA in the JJP fold, said: “The Jind bypoll result has clearly shown that the JJP is the alternative to the ruling BJP in the state.”

He further said, “I am confident that if we work hard, we will form the next government in Haryana.”

The party spokesperson said several leaders from other parties, including Krishan Gangwa (Zila Parishad member), Umed Khanna (Municipal Corporation member), Hanuman Bishnoi, Ravi Punia and Manoj Bheria joined the JJP today.
