Kurukshetra, April 19

Vice President M Vainkaih Naidu on Thursday said incidents of sexual abuse were highly unfortunate and deserved condemnation.

He was speaking at the 31st convocation of Kurukshetra University.

Naidu advocated encouraging students to take language from other regions. He said late Devi Lal had visualised the idea and it was required to promote national integration.

The Vice President said it is impressive that most of the students who were awarded the degrees were women.

He said there should be no space for violent protests. Haryana recently suffered violence which affected the common man.

Haryana is model state as it contributed a lot to the defence forces, he said.
