Yamunanagar: A 32-year-old woman reportedly committed suicide by hanging herself at the house of her in-laws in Unheri village of the district. On the complaint of her father Ompal Singh, a resident of Yamunanagar, a case was registered against Ajay Singh of Unheri village and some other members of his family under Section 306 of the IPC on June 16. The complainant said his daughter Renu had married Ajay Kumar five years ago. He said Renu’s father-in-law informed him at 10 am on June 16 that his daughter was dead. “The husband and mother-in-law of my daughter used to torture her. Either they have killed her or forced her to commit suicide,” the complainant alleged. TNS

13-year-old boy goes missing  

Ambala: A 13-year-old boy has been missing since June 14. His mother, a resident of Mahesh Nagar, told the police that her 13-year-old son Sunny left home on June 14 and had not returned ever since. In another case, a woman of Ambala City reported to the police that her 40-year-old husband Jai Pal had been missing since June 2. The police have lodged missing person reports. TNS

Venue for yoga event changed
