The pilot who died in the midair collision during a rehearsal for an air show in Bengaluru was reportedly from Hisar.

IAF Wing Commander Sahil Gandhi died when two aircraft of the Surya Kiran Aerobatics Team collided midair on Tuesday at the Yelahanka Air Force Station in Bengaluru at around 11.50 am.

Two other pilots ejected to safety.

The incident occurred during a sortie a day before the Aero India show, Asia’s premier five-day Asia's premier air show.
