Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar today alleged that the previous Congress government discriminated against various districts while allocating resources.

Addressing a press conference after releasing a white paper on the state’s economy, Khattar said had all-round development been undertaken, there would not have been such a big difference in the district-wise per capita income.

“The per capita income is high in six districts whereas it is low in eight districts,” He said.

He said the per capita income of Gurgaon district increased from Rs 81,478 in 2004-05 to Rs 4,46,305 in 2011-12.The per capita income of Yamunanagar district increased from Rs 32,038 in 2004-05 to Rs 82,232 in 2011-12. Similarly, in Mahendragarh district, it increased from Rs 21,888 in 2004-05 to Rs 54,835 in 2011-12.

But the per capita income of Mewat district in 2011-12 was only Rs 45,934, the lowest in the entire state.
