Honda to set up research centre in G’gram

GURUGRAM: To promote research in the auto sector at the grassroots level, auto major Honda will set up an automobile research centre at SGT Research for Resurgence Foundation.

To promote research in the auto sector at the grassroots level, auto major Honda will set up an automobile research centre at SGT Research for Resurgence Foundation.

This declaration was made by Harbhajan Singh, Director, Corporate and General Affairs, Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd. He was chairing the youth fest ‘Synergy 2019’ which kick-started in city today.

“We believe in catching young ideas as the best innovative ideas come from the young like you. We at Honda believe in learning and collaborating to progress in sync with new age ideas,” said Harbhajan Singh while addressing over 20,000 students from nearly 300 schools and colleges from Delhi NCR.

Speaking as the chief guest at the inaugural function on the university campus this morning, Mukul Kanitkar, national organising secretary of the Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal, announced the signing of an MoU between SGT University and Nagpur-based Research for Resurgence Foundation (RRF).

The foundation has been started by Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal with the core objective of bringing about a paradigm shift in research outcomes, research methodology and innovation-based research.

SGT University will now actively collaborate with the foundation in a series of projects which will have end outcomes that promote excellence in innovation-based research. RRF is a multi-domain research institute and a network hub of research and allied activities in academics and the industrial sector.

Started in 2017 by the SGT University, Synergy is the biggest youth festival in Delhi-NCR. It brings together the best that the students of the region have to offer by way of passion, creativity and ideas for India and the world. Synergy-2019 consists of a wide canvas of youth activities showcasing their skills, vision and commitment to the community and the country.

These include projects on the sciences, technology, health sciences (both modern and traditional Indian systems), arts, law, commerce, management, media and communication, community development etc.

For innovation-based research 

The Research for Resurgence Foundation (RRF) has been started by Bharatiya Shikshan Mandal with the core objective of bringing about a paradigm shift in research outcomes, research methodology and innovation-based research.

SGT University will collaborate with the foundation in a series of projects which will have end outcomes that promote excellence in innovation-based research.
