Hisar MP keeps mum over his suspension

Even as Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) supremo Om Prakash Chautala is yet to announce his decision on disciplinary action against Hisar MP Dushyant Chautala and his younger brother Digvijay Chautala, former president, INSO, the MP prefers to remain silent on the issue.

Despite several attempts, Dushyant did not reply to the questions of mediapersons over his suspension and show-cause notices issued to him and his brother.

“I am under suspension. It will not be in my interest to say anything at this stage,” he said, while interacting with his supporters at the residence of his supporter Mohsin Choudhary here on Tuesday.

Dushyant’s sudden change of strategy has come as a surprise for political observers, as so far he and his younger have been very vocal on this issue.

Even their mother and Dabwali MLA Naina Chautala has taken a strong stand in favour of her sons at a rally where she launched a veiled attack on Leader of Opposition Abhay Chautala and sought party workers’ support for her sons.

However, Dushyant remained silent on Tuesday and kept everyone guessing about his next move.

As per political experts, he is now observing the situation silently and also strengthening his base by conducting meetings with his supporters.

It is learnt that OP Chautala had suspended Dushyant and Digvijay from the primary membership of the party allegedly for indiscipline and anti-party activities.

The INLD chief had even referred the matter to the party’s disciplinary committee.
