Government employees under the banner of Sarv Karamchari Sangh (SKS) today lashed out at the state government on the issues of “poor” law and order situation and criticised their “anti-worker” and “anti-farmer” policies.

Sangh leaders during the Jan Aakrosh Rally at the Old College ground today said the government was formulating policies which favoured and promote private players in transport, education and health sectors.

The SKS decided to launch a campaign against the alleged anti-people policies of the government by organising mohalla meetings and nukkad sabhas across the state. To highlight their demands, the employees union would submit memorandum to the district administration throughout the state on Saheedi Divas (March 23).

Dharambir Phogat, state president of the SKS, alleged that the government had completely ignored demands of the government employees. He said the BJP had promised to take pro-employees decisions like regularisation of the services of temporary and contractual employees, pay scales on par with Punjab employees and reverting to the old pension scheme.

Phogat also rapped the government for its failure to ensure safety of people especially women as the incidents of crime like rape, murder and loot have been on the rise. “All sections of society like employees, farmers, working class are feeling let down. We will intensify the agitation if the government continues to ignore our demands and issues,” he said.
