Chandigarh, October 29

Former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today predicted that the BJP-JJP alliance in Haryana would not last long and the coalition government would not be able to complete its term.

Speaking to The Tribune at his official residence here today, Hooda said that though he wished that the government completed its full term and fulfilled the promises made to the people, but looking at the history of both parties, he did not have any hope.

Hooda said that in the past 10 months ever since the JJP was constituted, the party had entered into three alliances – first with the AAP, then with the BSP and now with the BJP.

Reacting to JJP leader Digvijay Chautala’s statement that Hooda should be prepared to go to jail, the former CM said he had faith in the judicial system and alleged that the JJP leaders were targeting him to hide their own nervousness resulting from anger among their voters for supporting the BJP.
