Four students die in Hisar road accident

HISAR: Four students were killed and two others injured when a car in which they were travelling hit a tractor-trailer parked on the roadside near the Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology here on the Hisar-Delhi bypass, the police said on Thursday.

Four students were killed and two others injured when a car in which they were travelling hit a tractor-trailer parked on the roadside near the Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology here on the Hisar-Delhi bypass, the police said on Thursday.

The tractor-trailer loaded with paddy straw was parked on the roadside when the car hit it from behind late on Wednesday night. The injured students were admitted to Agroha Medical College.

The bodies were sent to the Civil Hospital for a post-mortem examination. All six students hailed from Charkhi Dadri district and lived in a PG at Mohalla Rampura here, the police have said. They were preparing for competitive examinations.

The deceased were identified as Parwinder (20) and Naseeb (21), both residents of Sahuwas village, Ankit (21) of Atela village, and Ankit Kumar (21) of Charkhi Dadri.

They had gone to the Hisar Cantonment side to take dinner from a restaurant when the accident took place. The police have registered a case.


Two die in Sonepat as car hits tree

Sonepat: Two men were killed after a car in which they were travelling hit a tree after getting hit from another vehicle on the Sonepat-Murthal road near the DCR University of Science and Technology on Wednesday night. The deceased were identified as Vikram (26) and Kapil (30), both from Ram Nagar here. A crane was brought in to extricate the bodies from the mangled remains of the car. The two men were returning home after attending a wedding when the accident took place. They died on the spot. On a complaint of Kapil’s father Manoj, a case was registered against the unidentified vehicle driver in the Murthal police station. OC
