Karnal, June 14

The CM’s camp office has been running without its OSD for the past 45 days. Nowadays, it is wearing a deserted look in contrast to the earlier hustle and bustle of people who came here to get their grievances resolved every Tuesday and Friday.

If sources in the BJP are to be believed, Amrinder Singh, who was appointed OSD to CM’s camp office after the BJP came to power, has been shifted to Chandigarh. He used to listen to the people’s grievances twice a week.

Amrinder said he has been assigned some other work in Chandigarh.

Jagmohan Anand, district president of the BJP, confirmed the shifting of the OSD to Chandigarh. He said, “I and other party leaders are always available to the general public for the resolution of their problems.”

Sources claimed that the BJP is exploring the option of a local OSD or a five-member committee of party workers to look after the camp office.

Sources further said the RSS as well as the top leadership of the BJP has asked the CM to appoint a local person as OSD for his camp office. The party wants the appointment to be made before the upcoming civic body elections in Karnal. The leadership has also suggested the appointment of a committee of senior party leaders in place of an OSD.
