Faridabad police have identified all four accused and nabbed three of them two days after they had allegedly gang-raped a 21-year-old woman in Ballabhgarh while she was on her way to a market along with a friend.

Addressing the media, Amitabh Singh Dhillon, Commissioner of Police, Faridabad, said though equipped with all details they were not sharing it as an identification parade was awaited.

“The victim is confident that she will be able to identify the accused, so we have sort permission for identification parade and thus upheld their particulars. Once she identifies them it will be our strongest evidence and then we will quickly file charge sheet and try our best to get a fast-tracked trial so that justice is delivered in time and they are punished,” said Dhillon.

The victim in her statement claimed that she was on her way to market with a male acquaintance on his bike when it broke down and they approached for help.

They allegedly pinned down her friend and dragged her to bushes and took turns in raping her.

The investigation revealed that the four accused had even indulged in brawl before committing gang-rape.

“We are very close to nabbing the fourth accused. The SIT got evidence analysed and roped in a digital forensics team for technical analysis. As a result of all this, we have been able to arrest three of the four accused,” he added.
