HISAR: The police have booked a private eye surgeon in a fraud case for taking loan of lakhs of rupees in connivance with private bank officials in Hisar.

The police have booked a private eye surgeon in a fraud case for taking loan of lakhs of rupees in connivance with private bank officials in Hisar.

Harish Bhardwaj, a police spokesperson, said the police had booked Dr Ashok Garg, an eye surgeon, and unidentified private bank officials under IPCSections 406, 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120-B.

Bhardwaj said Ravi Kiran Garg, complainant from Delhi, stated in his complaint that the accused had taken loan for a plot which was sold to him. He said he and his friend Kapil Garg had purchased a property in Model Town of Hisar from the doctor on July 2, 2015, for Rs1.16 crore. Later, he came to know that Dr Garg took a loan of lakhs of rupees on the same property in connivance with some private bank officials, which they purchased and completed the registry process. — TNS
