A room is ready on floor number 5 at the Haryana Civil Secretariat for Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala. The room where former Finance Minister Capt Abhimanyu sat is being decked up for the new occupant with nameplate.

Dushyant is likely to join office on Friday. “Only a new clock and photograph of former Deputy Prime Minister Devi Lal has been added to the room. The room does not need whitewashing and only glass is being cleaned,” said a government official looking after the room.

During Capt Abhimanyu’s tenure, photographs of President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Governor Satyadeo Narain Arya, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and BR Ambedkar adorned the office walls.

“The seating arrangement has been changed in the room,” said an official. The room for Dushyant’s staff was being renovated.
