Kurukshetra, February 10

International Saraswati Mahotsav concluded on the occasion of Basant Panchmi at Pehowa on Sunday.

Art and Cultural Affairs Minister Kavita Jain and senior RSS leader Indresh Kumar were among those present at the function.

On the occasion, the minister said the state government was committed to promoting tourism in Pehowa. She said special attention was being given to infrastructural development at various places frequented by pilgrims in the town. The programme was started on Thursday.

Scores of artistes and artisans were invited at the event from various parts of the country. Cultural programmes attracted a number of visitors at the four-day event. A crafts mela was also organised. The event was organised by the Haryana Saraswati Heritage Development Board and the district administration. — TNS
