Cops, students among 154 blood donors

KAITHAL: As many as 154 persons, including police officials, students and staff of Z.king and the Hartron centre, donated blood at a camp organised by the traffic police and the Red Cross Society in the police lines here today.

As many as 154 persons, including police officials, students and staff of Z.king and the Hartron centre, donated blood at a camp organised by the traffic police and the Red Cross Society in the police lines here today.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Astha Modi was present at the camp to motivate the donors. She tagged badges on donors.

Astha said that youths should understand the importance of blood donation to save precious human lives. Blood was needed to treat people injured in road mishaps or calamities. Red Cross secretary Balwan Singh, Dr Birbal Dala, DTO Dr Sachin Mandle, councillor Vijeta, CIA-1 Inspector Mahaveer Singh, and traffic Sub-Inspector Mandeep Singh donated blood.
