Congress MP from Rohtak Deepender Hooda said here today that different developmental projects involving an expenditure of Rs 2 lakh crore, which he got sanctioned during the Congress regime, had been stalled due to the lackadaisical approach of the BJP government.

Talking to reporters, Deepender maintained that the ongoing blame game between the Haryana Chief Minister and a Union minister regarding the establishment of AIIMS at Manethi in Rewari district indicated that the announcement was untrue.

“It will be better if the BJP government focuses on the completion of Rs 9,000 crore AIIMS project at Badhsa in Jhajjar district, work on which had been initiated during the UPA regime and is going on at a snail’s pace,” he remarked.

The MP further pointed out that an international airport proposed to be constructed in Meham township of Rohtak district at a cost of Rs 25,000 crore had been shifted to Uttar Pradesh and Rs 3,500 crore Rail Coach Factory proposed for Sonepat had also been shifted out of Haryana.

“Work is yet to start on Defence University at Binola after four years of the project’s launch,” he added. — TNS
