CM pays tributes to Kargil martyrs

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Friday paid tributes to Kargil martyrs by laying a wreath on the war memorial to mark the 20th anniversary of Vijay Diwas. A police contingent paid homage to the martyrs.

The Chief Minister said the debt of martyrs who had sacrificed their lives for the country could never be repaid and people would always remember their martyrdom.

He said the armed forces were fully capable of facing any challenge and the armed forces were famous for their bravery.

Kin of 41 martyrs honoured

Hisar: The Army honoured the families of 41 Kargil martyrs from Haryana on the occasion of Shaheed Samman Samaroh to commemorate the 20th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas in the Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology (GJUST) here on Friday.

An Army spokesperson for the Hisar Cantonment said officers from the Dot on Target Division gave a pep talk to students, remembering soldiers who fought for the country in Kargil War.

A short documentary on the war was also shown. Several weapons and special vehicles were put on display for students.
