Palwal, May 27

As per an announcement by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar at a rally in Hathin town of the district, the state government would soon provide over 50,000 new jobs.

These include 20,000 posts of teachers and 13,000 posts of police personnel, besides filling up a huge number of vacancies in other government departments.

The rally was organised by Harsh Kumar, a former Haryana Minister, and BJP’s candidate from here in the last Assembly polls. Claiming that his government was pro-people and was engaged in mass welfare programmes without discrimination, Khattar said his government had achieved more than the set target in just seven months after coming to power.

The government, Khattar said had lost no time in understanding the farmers concern in view of the natural calamity caused by rain and hailstorms, as compensation of Rs 1,100 crore had already been released. Reacting to the demands taken up at rally, he said all efforts would be made to ensure speedy progress of the region, which he said had been considered backward in view of its location.

Khattar said all main roads and link roads to the villages in the district would be repaired or re-laid at a cost of Rs 12 crore. Accepting the demand of augmentation of water supply and sewerage system for the town, he said a budget of Rs 8.25 crore would be allocated for it. Khattar also announced a separate budget of Rs 5 crore each for the Municipal Committee and the rural development in the region.

Revealing that the state government was in process of overhauling the education system, in view of poor results of the board exams, the Chief Minister said the government would soon recruit around 20,000 teachers besides upgrading and improving infrastructure. Admitting that unemployment was a major issue, Khattar said his government would carry out a recruitment drive to fill the vacancies of 13,000 police personnel.

Claiming success in curbing corruption across the state, Khattar said the concept of CM Window and the launch of online services including registration of land had come as a relief for the common man. He said the zero-tolerance policy towards corruption had ensured success in implementation of various schemes.

Union Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Krishan Pal Gurjar and PWD Minister Rao Narbir Singh also spoke at the rally.
