CM announces projects for 4 Karnal seats

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has announced a slew of development projects for the Karnal, Nilokheri, Assandh and Gharaunda Assembly constituencies.

Amarjit Singh, Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to CM, says the CM has announced development works worth Rs 7 crore in rural areas of Karnal. A four-lane road will be constructed from the Kaithal railway bridge to the Chirao Mod and an Urban Primary Health Centre (UPHC) under the National Health Mission will be set up in Vasant Vihar, Karnal. Other works include a hospital in Ram Nagar, four-laning of the Karnal-Meerut road, grant-in-aid to Madhav Netra Bank, Karnal, for corneal transplantation, completion of the hospital in Sector 16, Karnal, allotment of land for a Bar Office, Karnal, completion of a community centre in Sector 16, Karnal, and setting up of a primary school in Sector 16, Karnal.

Other development works include four-laning of the Karnal-Indri-Ladwa-Radaur-Yamunanagar road, the Karnal-Singhra-Nissing-Kaithal road and the construction of eight rooms and a science lab in Government School at Kachhwa village.

For Nilokheri, the Chief Minister has announced upgrade of the Community Health Centre to the Civil Hospital, construction of Girls College in Nissing and a railway underpass at Taraori. He has also announced the construction of the NKD to Khawaja Ahmadpur village road, a platform at the railway station and an underpass near the Kali Mata Mandir on the GT road, four-laning of the Nilokheri-Karsa Dhand road and new rest houses in Taraori and Nissing.

Amarjit says Rs 10 crore will be spent on development works in rural areas of Nilokheri. These include a sports stadium at Jamba village, a government college in Taraori, construction of a road from Manchuri to Ghlarpur in Gondar, a new road in Gondar named Noushari Wali Sadak and a sewerage in Nigdhu.

For Assandh, the CM has announced construction of two rooms in Government School at Beholpur Mushtarka village, a pucca road from Beholpur to Bajida Roran and power and water facilities in 100-100 yards plots in Shahpur.
