KARNAL: The state government has given its approval to establish a community health centre (CHC) at Nigdhu village in the district.

The state government has given its approval to establish a community health centre (CHC) at Nigdhu village in the district.

“We have been raising the issue for the past more than 10 years. Now, the state government has approved our demand. We have recently met Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar,” said Subhash Chand, a resident of Nigdhu. Earlier, a primary health centre (PHC) was to be established in the village. A sum of Rs 4.29 crore would be spent on construction of the CHC.

Nilokheri MLA Bhagwan Das Kabirpanthi said that the CM had upgraded the health facility in Nigdhu village. Earlier, the government had passed a proposal for construction of the PHC. The CHC would benefit thousands of people living in the area, he added. — TNS
