The main road from Railway Station, Sonepat, to Geeta Bhavan has become narrow due to increase in business activity of shopkeepers, causing inconvenience to commuters and pedestrians. It is a busy road as many religious places, including Geeta Bhavan Mandir, renovated gurdwara and establishments like health centre, prominent old book shops and schools are located on it. The conditions at ‘Kachequarters’ markets are alarming with broken roads and speed breakers at short distances. The external and internal roads should be repaired and encroachments should be removed. –PC Luthra, Sonepat

Wooden waste material dumped

This photograph captured in Sector 8 market area of Panchkula speaks volumes about the reckless attitude of someone who has mindlessly dumped wooden waste material here. It may also turn out to be a recipe for disaster should any fire cracker land on this wooden dump during Diwali. But who cares? -Kumar Gupt, Panchkula

Violation of traffic rules by school van

This photograph clicked at Sector 7-8-17-18 roundabout (Shaheed Major Sandeep Sagar Chowk) in Panchkula shows the blatant violation of traffic rules by this school van (with kids on board). It fearlessly took a wrong turn in the presence of newly installed CCTV camera. Does it really make any sense to spend public money on its such installation if it proves ineffective in preventing such violations? Needless to say, such a mindless shortcut can always cut short many lives should it culminate into an accident on a fateful day. –SK Gupta, Panchkula.

Saraswati Nagar town not getting facilities

Saraswati Nagar Town, formerly Mustafabad, was declared a great pilgrimage destination when Manohar Lal Khattar government came to power. At the end of his term, you still find it an underdeveloped and stinking place with broken roads and water body full of filth. The monsoon played havoc in this area as there is no proper drainage of rain water. -Sandeep Mahal, Saraswati Nagar (Mustafabad)
