Bid to loot shop in Rohtak

ROHTAK: Four armed miscreants tried to loot a grocery-cum-mobile phone shop located in the main bazaar of Kalanaur township on Monday afternoon.

Four armed miscreants tried to loot a grocery-cum-mobile phone shop located in the main bazaar of Kalanaur township on Monday afternoon.

They started beating up the shopkeeper when he resisted their attempt to loot the shop. The shopkeeper’s teenage son Keshav also combated the miscreants. One of the looters fired at the shopkeeper before fleeing.

A police party reached the shop on being informed. Investigators are scanning CCTV camera footage for clues about the miscreants.

A similar incident was reported from Sampla township of the district where miscreants looted cash from a trader at gunpoint.
