PANIPAT: A two-and-a-half-month-old baby girl was found abandoned near an industrial plot in Sector 29 part-2 on Monday.

A two-and-a-half-month-old baby girl was found abandoned near an industrial plot in Sector 29 part-2 on Monday. The police have registered a case.

Kamarjahan of Kanpur, a jhuggi-dweller, said in her complaint that she found the baby and informed the police.

The girl was medically examined in presence of child welfare committee members and sent to a child care centre in Kaithal, said ASI Subhash Chand, investigating officer. — TNS
