Sonepat, January 12

The health authorities have ordered another inquiry against Frank Institute of Medical Sciences (FIMS) here.

In a complaint filed at the CM Window, it was alleged that Sanjay Jain of Gannaur had died after he was administered a wrong injection at the FIMS.

Dr JS Punia, Civil Surgeon, Sonepat, today said that after receiving a complaint from the victim’s brother Raj Pal Jain and daughter Kajal, a board of doctors had been asked to complete the investigation and submit its report at the earliest.

In the complaint, Raj Pal Jain and Kavita alleged Sanjay Jain was admitted to the FIMS with fever on October 9 last year. After tests, it was found that he had a low platelet count.

When his platelets recovered, the family asked doctors to discharge him. But the doctors said the patient was unwell and an injection was administered to him. After the injection, scars appeared on his body. He was taken to the ICU where he breathed his last, they alleged.

They alleged a complaint was also filed with the police, but no action had been taken.

Earlier, the district health authorities had ordered an inquiry into a complaint against the FIMS for allegedly charging Rs4.5 lakh from a farmer for the treatment of his son suffering from dengue.
