Alwar MP dies, three CMs attend ‘samadhi’ ceremony

ROHTAK: Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje Scindia, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Aditya Nath, CM Manohar Lal Khattar and other BJP leaders and prominent social and religious figures attended the “samadhi” ceremony of Alwar MP and Baba Mastnath Matth Mahant Chand Nath Yogi here today.

Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje Scindia, Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Aditya Nath, CM Manohar Lal Khattar and other BJP leaders and prominent social and religious figures attended the “samadhi” ceremony of Alwar MP and Baba Mastnath Matth Mahant Chand Nath Yogi here today.

Yogi, who was not well for quite some time, breathed his last at a hospital in Delhi late last night. His body was laid to rest in a “samadhi” with state honours on the matth premises today.

CM Manohar Lal Khattar termed Yogi’s demise as an “irreparable loss”. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Aditya Nath lauded Chand Nath’s contribution to the sect as well as to the education and health sectors. Rajasthan CM Vasundhara Raje also paid her tributes to the departed soul.

Baba Balaknath had already been appointed the next head of the matth. State BJP president Subhash Barala, Education Minister Ram Bilas Sharma, Cooperative Minister Manish Grover, former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Divisional Commissioner Chander Prakash, IGP Sandeep Khirwar, DC Atul Kumar, SP Pankaj Nain and SDM Arvind Malhan were also present.
