Karnal, November 13

Dr KC Bangar, former chairman of the HPSC, has made it clear that there are only two options in the INLD for the Chief Minister’s post — one is Abhay Chautala and the second is Dushyant Chautala. It is up to the party workers to whom they want the next CM, he maintains.

“Neither party supremo Om Prakash Chautala nor party’s general secretary Ajay Chautala can contest the elections in 2019 and 2024 due to their conviction. Without contesting the elections, they cannot become the CM. They have to wait till the 2029 elections. Now, we have two buses — one of Abhay and the second of Dushyant. It is up to the workers which bus they want to board,” said Bangar while addressing party workers here.

“I can be expelled from the party for this statement, but I don’t care for it,” he said.

Bangar made this statement in the presence of Ajay Chautala, who came here to garner support for the Jind rally to be held on November 17.
