Karnal, November 14

Some hoardings that were put up by the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) district unit, appealing to the people to compare the four-year rule of the BJP government in Haryana and the three years of AAP government in Delhi, were removed by some miscreants, leaving AAP leaders fuming.

AAP state convener Naveen Jaihind blamed the BJP for it and said that the BJP was afraid of the popularity of Kejriwal among the people of Haryana. Hence, the hoardings of the Delhi CM were being torn by miscreants at the behest of BJP leaders, he alleged.

Senior BJP leader and Sugarfed chairman Chander Parkash Kathuria denied the allegations and said that AAP has no base in Haryana and that the BJP never indulges in such cheap acts. It might have been done by AAP leaders to remain in the headlines, he said.

The AAP district unit had put up hoardings at several places ahead of Delhi CM Kejriwal’s visit to Balpabana village in the district on November 17. Kejriwal will check the health services in a dispensary and will also interact with the residents.

Jaihind alleged, “We have displayed posters and hoardings across the state showing the good works of AAP in Delhi and exposing the failure of the BJP government in Haryana. But the BJP leaders could not digest the popularity of the Delhi CM. So, they got these posters and hoardings removed.”

“It is our right to display the posters and hoardings of our leaders and we did it after getting all necessary permissions,” he added.

Jaihind said that Kejriwal is coming to Karnal district to expose the poor state of the health system in the district. CM Khattar represents Karnal constituency in the Assembly. AAP has done tremendous work in the field of education as well as health, but the BJP government in Haryana had failed to improve the standard of health and educational institutions.

Dr Balkrishna Kaushik, president, AAP Karnal parliamentary constituency, alleged that they had erected 37 hoardings in Karnal, but most of them were removed at the behest of the BJP leaders.
