Chandigarh, August 6

Four more MLAs quit the Assembly and joined the BJP today. Tek Chand Sharma (BSP), Ravinder Machhrouli (Independent), Nagendra Bhadana and Makhan Lal Singla (both from the INLD) joined the BJP after resigning from the Assembly.

Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, BJP state unit chief Subhash Barala and media adviser to CM Rajiv Jain were present on the occasion. Barala said no pre-condition as regards Assembly ticket was put forward by any of the leader joining the BJP. — TNS
