3 get 10-year jail term for snatching

District and Sessions Judge Vikram Aggarwal on Monday sentenced three men to 10 years’ rigorous imprisonment in a snatching case.

Accused Sukhwinder Singh and Rajinder Singh, both residents of Sanjarpur, Patiala- and Ramdhari, a resident of Devi Nagar, Ambala City, were held guilty for snatching a bag containing Rs 4.50 lakh and injuring the complainant.

As per information, Sukhwinder Singh, Rajinder Singh and Malkiat Singh hatched a conspiracy with accused Ramdhari. On June 19, 2017, Sukhwinder, Rajinder and Malkiat snatched a bag containing Rs 4.50 lakh and other valuables from the possession of Pawan Gupta, who was on the way to his home around 9 pm.

While Sukhwinder, Rajinder and Ramdhari were arrested, Malkiat was not arrested in the case.

The court has also slapped a fine of Rs 25,000 each on them.
