28 food samples taken from shops in Panipat

A joint team of the Health Department and Food and Drugs Administration (FDA) has taken 28 food samples from various shops in the district.

DFSO Shyam Lal Mahiwal, said, “Nine samples have been collected on October 22; 10 samples on October 25 and nine on October 27.”

The DFSO said, Nine samples, including three samples of desi ghee from a factory at Jalpar road; one sample of edible oil from a factory; two samples of water from a factory at the Ugrakheri turn and three samples of rasgulla, gulab jamun and milk was collected from a factory at Noorwala on October 22.

Besides, 10 samples of khoya, burfi, paneer, milk cake, rasgulla, vegetable oil, chili powder, turmeric powder, chips masala powder from various factories and shops at Sanoli road and Kutani road in the city had been collected on October 25, he added.

Nine samples of rasgulla, khoya burfi, petha sweet, sponge rasgulla, milk cake and laddoos have been taken from various sweet shops at Jatal road on October 27, he asserted. — TNS
