A two-year-old boy died after he came under the wheels of a roadways bus at Buria in the district on Friday.

In a complaint to the police, Shahid, a resident of Meerut in Uttar Pradesh, stated that he along with his wife Mustafa, three-year-old daughter and two-year-old son had come to meet a relative at Buria on Thursday.

To go to Yamunanagar on Friday, he and his daughter boarded a bus from the Buria bus stop. When his wife along with their son was trying to board the bus, the driver suddenly started the bus and his wife and son fell down.

His wife had a narrow escape, but his son came under the wheels of the bus and died on the spot.

On his complaint, the Buria police registered a case against bus driver Jaswant Singh.
