2 open fire in G’gram eatery, Rs 5-lakh reward announced

GURUGRAM: Two masked men opened fire in a busy restaurant in Sector 46 here this evening. The suspects, one dressed in black kurta-pyjama and the other in blue shirt, walked inside the packed Om Sweets and fired four shots.

Two masked men opened fire in a busy restaurant in Sector 46 here this evening. The suspects, one dressed in black kurta-pyjama and the other in blue shirt, walked inside the packed Om Sweets and fired four shots.

Employees and customers ducked for cover but one of them was injured by a shard of shattered glass. The two then fled on a bike.

The police said intitial probe suggested it was a robbery bid. Sources, however, said a gang was behind the firing to extort protection money. The police have announced a Rs 5-lakh reward for information leading to their arrest. — TNS
