13 cops to get Police Medal

CHANDIGARH: On the occasion of Independence Day, Anil Kumar Rao, Inspector General of Police, CID, has been awarded the President’s Police Medal for distinguished service, while Vikas Dhankhar, Assistant Inspector General (AIG), Provisioning, has been decorated with the Police Medal for meritorious service.

On the occasion of Independence Day, Anil Kumar Rao, Inspector General of Police, CID, has been awarded the President’s Police Medal for distinguished service, while Vikas Dhankhar, Assistant Inspector General (AIG), Provisioning, has been decorated with the Police Medal for meritorious service.

Besides, 11 officers and officials of the Haryana Police have been awarded the Police Medal for meritorious service.

A spokesman for the Police Department said Mukesh Malhotra, DSP, Panchkula; Jaibir Singh, DSP, Faridabad; Ravinder Kumar, DSP, Fatehabad; Ram Kumar, DSP Kaithal; Krishan Kumar, DSP, 2nd Battalion, Haryana Armed Police, Madhuban; Naresh Yadav, Inspector, in-charge Crime Branch, Gurugram; Jaldhir Singh, Sub-Inspector, CID, Gurugram; Ramesh Kumar, Sub-Inspector, Hisar; Nain Pal, SI, Gurugram; Rakesh Kumar, Exempted Assistant Sub-Inspector (EASI), Panchkula, and Meena Sharma, EASI, Panchkula; are among those awarded Police Medal for meritorious service.

Director General of Police BS Sandhu congratulated all police officers and officials who have been decorated with police medals.

“It is a great honour for the police force. The recognition of tireless and relentless efforts of Haryana Police officers and personnel at the national level will go a long way boost the morale of force,” he said.
