Youth fest: Punjabi singer Sarthi K enthrals audience on Day 2

PATIALA:Punjabi University, Patiala-Fatehgarh Zone Youth Fest, yesterday began with vibrant and energetic performances in which around 4,000 students of 25 colleges participated at the Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh.

Punjabi University, Patiala-Fatehgarh Zone Youth Fest, yesterday began with vibrant and energetic performances in which around 4,000 students of 25 colleges participated at the Aryans Group of Colleges, Chandigarh.

Chairman of the Punjab Khadi Board Harjit Singh Grewal was the chief guest, while social worker Kuldeep Singh Bhangewala was the guest of honour. Chairman of the Aryans Group Anshu Kataria presided over the function.

The function began with the lamp-lighting ceremony by the guests. The second day of the fest observed vibrant and energetic performances in both cultural and non-cultural, including Western instruments - prakashan and non-prakashan, Western solo instruments, Western solo singing, Western group singing, one-act play, mimicry, debate, declamation, poem recitation, cartooning, poster-making etc.

Speaking on the occasion, Grewal said this series of the techno-cultural fest would enhance student-to-student and college-to-college contact, increase interstate cultural ties and deepen the historical and cultural bonds.

Popular Punjabi singer Sarthi K regaled the visitors with his mimicry of various singers, including Babbu Mann, Kanwar Grewal, Jazzy B, Ranjit Bawa etc. He enthralled the audience with his super hit performances.
