Yamaha training school to come up in Shahpur

The Himachal Institute of Engineering and Technology (HIET) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Yamaha Motors for setting up the first Yamaha training school on the HIET campus at Shahpur.

Director, HIET Group, Sandeep Sondhi signed the pact with Omogori Takayuki, general manager (service), Yamaha Motors Sales India Private Limited, in the presence of chairman of the HIET Group Narendra Rana and vice-chairman Raman Kaistha.

Sondhi said as per the agreement, the HIET Group of Institutions in collaboration with Yamaha Motors India Private Limited, would be setting up a training school for those interested in venturing into the automotive industry in the two-wheeler segment. He said the one-year training would be imparted to those having passed Class VIII examination.

He said the training would be imparted to both boys and girls. Omogori Takayuki said certificates would be issued to trainees after the completion of the course and they would be provided jobs at various Yamaha centres in the country.

Sandeep said with the signing of the MoU, the HIET Group had fulfilled a part of its commitment of providing employment opportunities to the youth. He said the HIET Group would be taking more initiatives in this direction.
