Q. Are MiM programmes worth it? — Rohini Bhatnagar

A. Masters in Management (MiM) programmes are some of the most promising programmes for fresh graduates. In many cases, rated over MBA/PGDM from top-rated IIMs in India, MiM programmes offer competitive curriculum, tremendous exposure and opportunity to be a global professional. In many cases, these are priced at levels similar to that of IIMs/ or other top-notch B Schools in India. Employment rates at top schools are close to 100 per cent. All of these factors make MiM a very attractive choice for students in the final year of their undergraduate studies.

Job prospects after a degree abroad

Q. What are the job prospects after graduating from an overseas college? — Amit Gaur

A. Let’s face it — one of the prime reason that we all like to go abroad to study is to improve our job prospects. However, the fact remain that India is the fastest growing large economy in the world and driven by great opportunities in India, you are most likely to come back. However, in the short term, if you are a graduate from a good university, you have a good chance of getting a good job. Most top schools report close to 100 per cent employment rates within three months of graduation. So my advice is to focus on top universities if you are looking to secure your future.
