Woman ends her life in Balongi

Mohali, January 30

A 32-year-old woman, Pinki Devi, allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself at her residence at Balongi village here today. The victim, who was an employee of a private company, was residing in a rented accommodation in the village along with her two children. 

According to sources, illicit relations could be the reason behind the incident. The victim allegedly had illicit relations with a colleague, who is reportedly on the run after the incident. 

According to the police, no complaint has been received by them in this regard so far. “We have informed kin of the victim, who hailed from Bihar,” said the police. Pinki was taken to a government hospital by neighbours, where she was declared brought dead.
