Wife, 4 others booked for man’s death

TARN TARAN: A woman, her two daughters and two brothers have been booked by the city police under Section 306 IPC for the death of her husband Kawaljit Singh (45).

A woman, her two daughters and two brothers have been booked by the city police under Section 306 IPC for the death of her husband Kawaljit Singh (45).

Kawaljit Singh was the resident of Gurdaspur district, but had migrated here as the native village of his wife was Safipur, near here.

The accused have been identified as Gurdarshan Kaur, her two daughters Dimplepreet Kaur and Gurinder Kaur, besides Chand and Gura of Safipur.

Veer Kaur, the mother of the deceased, in her complaint to the police alleged that the accused had been mentally torturing her son Kawaljit.

Kawaljit was Gurdarshan’s second husband. She had three daughters from her first marriage.
